Dragon Ball
March 18, 2013 22:24 GMTAfter watching some of Dragon Ball, I’ve reached the conclusion that symmetry is very important when cartooning characters. Flat line and cell shading can’t suggest volume, so it is important to emphasise key points in the construction of the body. Good anatomy is secondary to this. Even if the anatomy is not perfect, when symmetrical points are emphasised on both sides of the body, this will be enough to suggest volume.
